1. Eligibility
- Open to anyone 18 years or older
- Co-writers and writing teams are allowed
- Entries must be original work. Adaptations are okay if the original work is in the public - domain or the entrant owns the rights
- Previously produced screenplays are not eligible. If you've made a short based on your feature or pilot, that's fine

2. Accepted Formats
We accept the following script categories:
- Short Film – up to 25 pages
- TV Pilot – Sitcom – up to 30 pages
- TV Pilot – One Hour – up to 60 pages
- Feature Screenplay – up to 120 pages

* Scripts longer than these limits may be disqualified or penalized during the evaluation process.

3. File Format
- Submit in PDF format only.
- A title page is optional, but please omit personal information if you'd like the script read anonymously.

4. Entry Limitations
- You may submit multiple entries, but each requires a separate submission and fee.
- Scripts must be in English.

5. Your Rights
- Writers retain all rights to their material.
- We do not option, claim, or own any part of your script.

6. Your Responsibility
- It is the writer’s sole responsibility to secure any legal protection for their work (e.g., WGA registration, copyright).
- By submitting to this competition, you agree to hold The Hypergraphia Writers Club and its staff harmless from any liability that may arise from your participation.

7. Judging Criteria
We evaluate based on:
- Story and concept originality
- Character development
- Dialogue and pacing
- Structure and format
- Overall voice and potential

Each script is read by experienced industry professionals who know the difference between "almost there" and "you’re ready."
